Thai Culinary Training

Bahrain Institute of Hospitality and Retail, (BIHR) welcomed the Royal Thai Embassy at its campus for the consecutive second year to host the Thai National Labour Standard Test, Thai Cooking Levels 1 and 2.

Mr. Hatim Dadabai, Managing Director of BIHR welcomed H.E. Thanis Na Songkhla, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Bahrain, H.E. Mr. Padam Sundas, Ambassador of the Republic of Nepal to Bahrain, Mr. Choong-geon Lee, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bahrain and Mr. Wittawat Khuprasert, Minister Counsellor, Office of Labour Affairs - Kingdom of Thailand to Riyadh, KSA and the team from Department of Skills Development Thailand. 

BIHR welcomed the 22 Thai Chefs enrolled for the week-long training and certification, and also welcomed distinguished guests from various embassies in Bahrain who participated in the training. The Thai Culinary training was attended by the respective spouses of the Ambassadors of the Republic of the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and representatives from the embassies of Japan, France and the ASEAN Bahrain Council. 

The Thai participants have undergone an intensive course consisting of lecture, cooking demonstration, written exam and cooking test of various Thai dishes in both Levels 1 and 2 Cooking.
